The MG Gloster, sold by MG Motor in India, is essentially a rebadged version of China's SAIC Maxus D90. The Maxus D90 has recently undergone a facelift, and the Gloster is set to receive similar updates. The facelifted MG Gloster got unveiled in Bharat Mobility show 2025 by the name Magester.

The MG Gloster’s 48-volt system, though less powerful than Toyota’s full-hybrid setup, is likely to improve its low-speed performance and reduce strain on the engine during start-stop conditions.
